After launching the underwhelming Galaxy J1 earlier this year, Samsung has expanded its Galaxy J lineup with the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 in the country. Both handsets will be sold exclusively on Flipkart, with sales kicking off from July 23.
Both phones come with a 5MP front cameras with LED flash, accompanied by 13MP cameras with f/1.9 lenses at the back, along with LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and Android 5.1 out of the box. The Galaxy J5 features a 5-inch 720p display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 SoC, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB internal memory, microSD slot and a 2,600mAh battery.
The Galaxy J7 is the larger device, packing a 5.5-inch 720p display, octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot and a 3,000mAh battery. Both handsets are now available for pre-sale, with the Galaxy J5 retailing for ₹11,999 ($190) and the J7 for ₹14,999 ($235).
