Android phone maker Yezz has revealed its plans to support Google's Project Ara module smartphone efforts. It will show of its first module prototypes as part of its exhibit plans at the 2015 Mobile World Congress Trade show in Barcelona, Spain from March 2-5.
As module developer, Yezz will collaborate in establishing a viable module marketplace that will allow for optimum customization. The user asserts control in defining their devices, with the option to purchase a fully configured device or upgrading a single module.
Google recently announced that it will begin a market trial of Project Ara-based smartphones in Puerto Rico sometime in 2015. Prices for the smartphones and the modules have yet to be revealed.
