Sprint announced that former Google executive Nikesh Arora has joined the company's board of directors. In addition to having served as an executive in several roles at Google, Arora also has deep ties to Sprint's parent company Softbank. With Arora's addition, Sprint has nine members on its board.
Sprint made the announcement in a press release Friday:
Sprint announced today that Nikesh Arora has joined the company's board of directors, bringing the total number of board members to nine. Mr. Arora has been chief executive officer of SoftBank Internet and Media, Inc. and vice chairman of SoftBank Corp. since Oct. 2014.
In the past, Arora had held roles as chief business officer and SVP of Google until August 2014. He was also the chief marketing officer and a member of the board of T-Mobile Europe.
