LG G3

LG's latest, the LG G3, is now up for pre-order from Carphone Warehouse in the UK, starting at £37.99 a month with no money down. The G3 is one of our favorite smartphones this year — just read our review of the LG G3 to find out why — and is expected to be delivered by Carphone Warehouse on the 1st of July.

If a zero-down monthly plan isn't your thing, Carphone Warehouse offers two dozen other plans ranging all the way up to £149.99 upfront followed by monthly payments of £30. And that's plus £100 automatic cash back. Carphone Warehouse has the G3 available in black, gold, and white (which is apparently an exclusive color in the UK for them). Pre-orders also will get a free LG QuickCircle Case.

The G3 is the first real mass market phone to hit with a QHD display with eye-popping 1440x2560 resolution on that 5.5-inch panel. It runs Android 4.4.2 with LG's circle-happy customizations on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, with 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, and micro SD expansion. Plus there's an excellent 13-megapixel camera with uber-fast laser autofocus.

For how many months?

Usually 2 years in the UK with contracts like here in USA

seanjenkins says:

Yeah. We used to have 1 year contracts but they saw how much money the american networks were making. I'm sure it's just a matter of time until we have to pay £200 for a flagship on contract

So if UK retailers have started taking pre-orders for G3 with SD801, then the info about G3 getting updated to SD805 is gonna most likely be restricted to Korean market.

Pretty good hardware update, but my G2 can do all this except for the new Circle Window stuff.
Oh yeah, my 1080p screen is still gorgeous!

Well, I already pre ordered the device from Carphone warehouse and waiting for my product to get delivered on my doorsteps. The device is qi enabled that means could be charged by placing it on wireless charging pad. So I even recently ordered a wireless charger for it from Amazon www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00JA7HNZO to keep its 3000mAh battery fully charged in order to explore more apps and features.
