For the two brave souls who asked, the 3.5.2 update for the Amazon Fire Phone was just bugfixes. Nothing in the changelog about buyer's remorse at all.
Source: Amazon Thanks, DiVirus and Scott!
Lol buyer's remorse: the sense of regret after having made a purchase.
Apparently Amazon has realized that the price of the phone was a big reason it failed, so maybe the next one will be priced much more aggressively. Now they just need to get rid of the carrier exclusivity and they might not lose $170 million on the next version.

but its still not selling for .99 cents. So price is not the only big reason
If they sold it for sub 300 unlocked I think it would appeal a little better

Slap an LTE modem in that 6" $100 fire tablet, sell it for $150, call it a phone, then call it a day.
If it sold with the ability to boot to Google's Android, and hide FireOs (forever) and came with 2 years of Prime, it probably would also sell.

Everyone can laugh it up (and rightfully so), but the Dynamic Perspective technology on that phone is really awesome. I hope someone else can pick up that ball and run with it.
You don't think ppl tried already?
Nope. Unless I'm missing something. And don't say the EVO 3D. I had it, and loved it, but it's not the same thing.
these things are old. There was once a 3D phone and that was not successful at all
That was the evo 3d
It really isn't that awesome.
Next version? ???. Isn't that like throwing gasoline on a fire (phone)

Does Amazon not do market research...I think all of us could have told Amazon they would be taking a bath on this phone.
I'm sure all 10 people who bought one of these are excited about the patch.
I can't see myself buying and android phone that does not run Google Now.
Let this happen to all carrier exclusive phones :)
I really don't think that was the issue, it was the exclusion of Google services that was the stake through the heart

It was carrier exclusivity, high price, lack of Gapps, and other factors that doomed this thing.
I wonder if it gets better battery life since google devices is a major battery drain on most android devices

You get sillier everyday
Nope not really, everyone knows google apps suck up alot of battery.
Only if you leave them on syncing every 3 minutes. ....then yeah.
We usually have no choice about when Google Play services syncs, so we wouldn't be able to 'set it to sync every 3 minutes.' Furthermore, its not just data sync that drains battery, but other services within play services, like location data reporting, that takes a toll.
