Right after we got our hands on LG's latest Android Phone, the GT540, comes news directly from LG's CEO, Nam Young, that half of their new smartphones will run Android. This is obviously great news because it'll mean more Android devices but since no LG Android Phone has hit the US, we're unsure if we'll ever see the benefits of this. Regardless, we're hopeful that the GT540 will buck the trend and come stateside.

Anyone love their LG devices?

Unsure if we'll see the benefits of this despite Sprint already having the Android powered Lg LS680 in their inventory?

I have had LG phones for the last 10 years. They have been pretty reliable. That being said, I've never necessarily seen them as a leader or even a competitor in the smart phone game.

In fact, when I received a BB curve for work, my LG became a backup phone.

I don't think I would hold my breath or even be super excited about an LG Android smart phone. But then again, it could be REALLY great
