You can now watch live TV via the internet on the Amazon Fire TV, thanks to the just-launched Sling TV app for the little set-top box. Sling's $20-a-month service includes many of the most popular "cable" channels, including TBS, Food Network, TNT, Bloomberg, Cartoon Network, Disney, CNN, and ESPN. As an added bonus, new customers that sign up for 3 months of Sling TV can get $50 off a Fire TV box or a free Fire TV Stick. Sling just earlier this week opened up its service to all customers after being limited at launch to invited customers only.

In addition to Sling TV, the Fire TV platform today's picking up streaming apps for Fox Sports Go, TED, and WSJ Live, plus the popular games Game of Thrones by Telltale and Crossy Road.
