In a bid to increase revenue and offer content creators the ability to monetize, SoundCloud has announced that it will be bringing ads to the service. The move follows rumors from earlier this year which suggested that the music service was close to signing licensing deals with major record labels.
Sonos is today adding SoundCloud to it's lineup of services in beta form. Sonos owners will now be able to connect to SoundCloud's complete library, which features music from new and established artists from all around the world.

Twitter is reportedly looking to acquire SoundCloud in what could be its biggest acquisition to date. According to Re/code, which cites sources familiar with the matter, SoundCloud's 250 million consumer base is a major motivator behind the deal.
