Grammys

The 56th annual Grammy Awards takes place tonight. And if you can't get in front of a TV, you'll easily be able to follow on your smartphone. Any number of websites track the winners, of course, but there's an official Grammys app that brings you videos, photos and news, long before the TV coverage kicks in.

The app itself isn't all that great, but it's workable. (If it's that bad, just use the website — it appears to be the same content.) And try to ignore the malformed ad that pops up at the begging. Also look out for any Justin Bieber sightings. It's the Grammys, where the recording industry at least attempts to honor good music, so chances are slim we'll see public enemy No. 1. But you can't be too careful.

Download the app at the link above. The show kicks off at 8 p.m. EST, 5 p.m. PST.

I say, make the movie, then go home! If it has to do with a movie, I'm interested, their personal life I could careless!

I think you meant to write, "I could not care less". Common mistake these days. :-)

Best time to be single is during the awards season so you don't have to put up with 8 hours of all this before, during, and after shows. But will be checking tomorrow for Celebrity nipslips, for what these singers are always wearing, actually for what they aren't wearing. Kind of a condolences for having to put up with their music.

And about the Bieber thing, Hope INS is their to deport him, that or the whole show turns into an intervention and a surprise rehab stint for quite a few of them. We lose Lou Reed but have to suffer with Beiber, #fml.

'Nipple slips?'

You're sick lol!

Although it's about awards, there will be many great musical performances. McCartney and Star. Madonna, Katy Perry, and others.

That's what they now focus on.

Possibly the most pointless and devalued awards show ever. There are something like 100 categories and almost everyone wins one at some point. I think I have one somewhere for singing in the bath!

Every year its the same, the commercially successful, rather than the talented, win the most awards, and they throw in a few obvious 'surprises' in an attempt to seem like they were paying attention to the rest of the industry.

Guess what natural born hater closeted dweeb? Too bad for you. I think you may be missing aspects of life that brighten people's emotions and commonality. The performances were groundbreaking and absolutely amazing. And a miniscule amount of time was related to award presentations and acceptance speeches.

Looks like it. I'm in Canada and the only app I can find is a bogus app.

BTW, the Grammys are tape delayed on the West Coast by 3 hours (8PM PT) , so thanks for ruining that for me....it's OK to blame your West Coast correspondent, Andrew.

Nothing ruined!

I'm going to favorite and play list more than several of the once in a lifetime groupings and historic live performances to my YouTube library for future casting to my TV entertainment system.

Moreover, I dvr'd the entire show and locked it from erase.

Why are there so many comments about actors/movies? O_o

Or are people bashing this event without even knowing what it's about?

Keep in mind, many of these forum posters like rovex and young Americans in general are immature, self indulgent, entitled and essentially clueless.
