Omate has taken the wraps off of its new smartwatch, the TrueSmart+. As the follow-up to the original TrueSmart smartwatch, the TrueSmart+ is aimed at being a smartphone replacement of sorts, running full Android 5.1 with Omate's User Interface 3.0 on top.
On the inside, the Omate TrueSmart+ is packing a dual-core 1GHz MediaTek MT6572M processor, a 600mAh battery, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. There are also a number of fitness sensors, GPS, and a microSIM slot on board, and the screen measures in at 1.54-inches with a resolution of 320 x 320.
Keep in mind that the TrueSmart+ is running full Android 5.1 Lollipop, rather than Android Wear, and apps are available through Omate's own app store, rather than Google Play. Still, if you're interested, Omate is taking pre-orders now through October 31 for $169, with shipments targeted for November.
