Oppo has announced the Mirror 5, a smartphone with a unique back made up of reflective cut-glass segments designed to mimic the pattern of a diamond. Along with the interesting design, the 5-inch phone comes with ColorOS 2.1, Oppo's custom skin which is based on Android 5.1.
Powering the handset is a 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. Also on offer is an 8MP camera at the back with a 1.4um pixel size, and a 5MP camera at the front. Oppo is touting several camera-centric features included in the Mirror 5, such as the ability to take double exposure shots, time-lapse videos and GIFs. There's also a 2,420mAh non-removable battery and dual-SIM functionality.
The handset will be available in over 15 international markets, including South Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East, North Africa, and Mexico. Pricing information wasn't made available at this stage, although Oppo has mentioned that an upgraded variant with LTE connectivity dubbed the Mirror 5s will be launched Taiwan, Singapore and Australia shortly.
