Flappy Bird is back, but only on Fire TV

The apparently-too-addictive Flappy Bird has made its triumphant return, but it's only on the Amazon Fire TV. Oh, and it's now Flappy Birds Family. The new version of the flash-in-the-pan smash hit game was promised to return this month, and indeed it has, just not in a form we were expecting.

So what is Flappy Birds Family? It's described by the developer thusly:

Flappy Birds now are on Amazon Fire TV with incredible new features: Person vs Person mode, more obstacles, more fun and still very hard. Enjoy playing the game at home (not breaking your TV) with your family and friends. - Drive the bird through pipes and ghosts - Play and share your best score - Challenge your friends

So it's kind of the Flappy Bird we know and love and loathe, but it's now more. Now you can play it on your TV. That's something, right?

You can actually re-download it from the Play Store if you've downloaded it before. At least for me it shows up on the Play Store, if you go to My apps, All, it should be on your list.

Looks like Amazon is trying to sell more HDTV's and game controllers, given how supremely not fun and annoying this game is.
