Samsung Galaxy Prevail

If you've had a hankering for the new Samsung Galaxy Prevail on Boost Mobile but have been dying to know when you can get it (last we'd heard was "sometime in May") , Boost's website now says it'll be available starting April 29. That's this Friday, folks. The Galaxy Prevail is a mid-level phone, with specs as follows:

  • Android 2.2
  • 3.2-inch touchscreen
  • 2MP camera with video
  • GPS enabled
  • Bluetooth® capable
  • Wireless Web enabled
  • Speakerphone with voice-activated dialing
  • Telenav navigation, free and unlimited
  • Supports microSD™ cards up to 32GB (2GB card included)
  • Voice mail, caller ID, call waiting and three-way calling

So just a couple days more, apparently. While you wait, be sure to check out our hands-on and initial review of the Galaxy Prevail.

Not a bad price either for a prepaid service. $179.99 - usually the prepaid providers like to get full retail for the phones since they don't get the return off of a 2 year contract. This should help Boost in their quest to take the number one spot in prepaid providers.

It may be mid-level to most of us, but to Boost this is high end... If I had Boost, I would buy this in a heartbeat... Props to Boost!

No thanks ill stay with virgin mobiles Optimus V for $ 25 and i got it for $ 150 in Best Buy

Megapixels 3.2 MP , Wifi and way faster than crappy Boost mobile :)

i do realize that , but boost mobile uses old sprint network because i had bb on boost and it was slow and late texts , i have virgin mobile now and its faster and i dont get late texts and i live in the same area so dont tell me its the same :)

Boost runs on Sprint's CDMA and iDEN networks. Virgin runs on Sprint's CDMA network.

If you're on Sprint CDMA, you're on Sprint CDMA.

well camera is what ever if u want a camera get yourself a digital camera and btw its actually fast and internet is i dont even think its 3g cuz its a bit faster than that and boost is kicking ass now
