Our super secret spies have uncovered some Kyocera Zio dummy units at Radio Shack. The 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen, with a Qualcomm MSM7627 processor, was first seen sporting Android 1.6 (Donut). Sanyo/Kyocera has stated that when the device hits retail, it will come shipped with Android 2.1 (Eclair). No word on if Froyo will be supported on the phone. Click on after the break to see another shot of the unit and full video of our hands-on.

Kyocera Zio dummy units appear at Radio Shack

how did i miss that this was going to sprint? not like it matters to me since i already have an EVO. but this is great for the people that dont have the money to spend on an EVO or an Epic.

People who don't have money for an EVO or EPIC have other options including the moment and hero which already have 2.1.

Kyocera has always been the lowest quality handset manufacturer .... period

The Moment reached EOL a couple months ago, the Hero will be EOL next month. So Kyocera will technically be replacing the Hero and Intercept replaced the Moment. There is also the Samsung Transform coming out next month around the 10th and the LG being announced aroiund the 3rd.

My previous phone was a Sanyo Katana LX. Sanyo devices were bare bones, but they were really good at getting a signal in fringe areas.

A nurse at work has one that'd on cricket the thing is garbage. Its not the processor or anything its just cheap.
