Larry Page's KitKat bar

Breaking off a piece

When you're the CEO of a company who knows how to have fun, even your candy bars are special. Here's A KitKat bar Larry Page is enjoying this evening to prove it.

We have no idea if these will be available for us "normal" people, but you can bet we're trying to find out. And if you were curious, Page used a Moto X to snap this not a fancy unknown Nexus.

In before "the Moto X camera is crappy" posts, lol.

You're the second person to wreck me with that line! Lol!

This is exactly what I was about to say...

...Well, that and that bar of chocolate looks UHMAYZAZING.

They have to be real, with jelly bean I always wanted a jar if jelly beans shaped like the logo but I couldn't find one

I kinda hate myself cause I would buy these... I hate Nestlé... But damn... I really like kitkats! and android!

Mostly kitkats...

I've been craving kit kats since I heard this story earlier today. Looks like this is going to be a nice marketing success for Nestle.

Great idea for both parties. Google and Nestle will benefit on this.

Yeah they will! Regular KitKat eaters will want a Android 4.4 device and Android users will want a Android KitKat!

You never have anything constructive to say. I hope the next Nexus is made by Motorola, just so you GTFO.

The amazing thing about the mobile industry is that there is more than one phone to choose from!

Hate the Moto X, that's fine. Choose from one of the other 15,000 (more, I'm sure) Android devices out there.

Who cares about that. Please list the ingredients. That's more important.

Never read the ingredients of a candy bar:

Sugar, wheat flour, cocoa butter, nonfat milk, chocolate, refined palm kernel oil, lactose (milk), milk fat, contains 2% or less of: soy lecithin, PGPR (emulsifier), yeast, artificial flavor, salt, and sodium bicarbonate

You wrote this and all I can read is:

Snapdragon 800
2GB RAM
64Gb storage
13mp camera
3mp front camera
Wireless charging
KiKat 4.4
Tons of accessories
Unlocked at $350

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

I needs me some Saturated fats right about now....

Any chance they have High Fructose corn syrup as well?

My tummy just rumbled, when you said that.

Even more reason to buy one. Maybe ill get a large bloody steak in the shape of an Android as well.

I love the foolishness of vegans. They'll suck down a chemistry textbook worth of processed and manufactured 'ingredients', but meat, eggs, and honey? No, those are bad.

Lol, yeah. There's no way I could ever be a Vegan.

Gotta be 4.4 if the next Nexus is due out in the next couple of months (November as most expect). No way Android's gonna release 5.0 on a device just weeks after 4.4 went public.

It will be 4.4. Google isn't going to announce 4.4 KitKat and then a month later announce 5.0 Lemonheads.

I really want one. I'm not sure if I'll eat it or just keep it for display.

Must check out http://www.kitkat.com/ - their site... they start with: "Every corner, every edge, every finger, of every bar has been carefully considered and crafted to create this beautifully immersive and multi-sensory experience."...

And goes on like that. Some slight dig at Apple, perhaps?

Rather amusing.

Have you tried turning off HDR from "auto"?

I've got the Droid Maxx (same camera/software as Moto X), and the camera's not a deal breaker for me.

Wow, we're still talking about candy bars today? I thought by now the discussion would have shifted to smaller things, like OS details. I suppose el Google is waiting closer to Apple's dates before shifting discussion away from Nestle... and on to real business.

Just another frustrating reminder that the rest of the world gets to enjoy the Nestlé version of the Kit Kat, while we have to suffer through the Hershey version here in the U.S.

IFA schmifa tbh - I only have eyes for KitKat

I mean, what are we going to see? The Bloat 3? ololol

Indoor shots, in general, are terrible with most smartphone cameras. They aren't necessarily deal breakers in my eyes but if you are a front and center type person like Larry Page, it's a catch twenty-two using the Moto X to snap a pic like this and share it. Face it - the Moto X is the direction they want their OS and features to migrate towards. Since this is a Google company, they are going to tout the device like they would a Nexus.

Was the shot great? No. Was it horrible? No. Did it get attention? Yes.

They can't all be Lumias.

My S4 or One can take a much better picture. The Moto X seems to dull colors on its own. Motorola hyped the camera as one of the best features of the entire device. This pic is a fail and Lumias do not even have to be mentioned.

That is so freaking cool! I really hope those are available to consumers. I'd buy a few for the giveaways (and to eat, of course) and I'd also keep one, just as a novelty. "KitKat" sounded ridiculous to me at first, but this whole thing really is quite interesting. The market strategy here is nothing short of brilliance.

The marketing strategy is working. 2 minutes after I read all about the new version name being Kit Kat, I wanted to drive to the store and get one. If they sell these, I will buy LOTS of Kit Kats. I'll even send some to my iPhone loving friends.
