Finally, Google has opened up Google+ to Gapps users. That means if your sole Google account (and we do realize there are some of you out there) is run through Google Apps, you can now use that account for Google+. You'll have the same features as everyone else, and the ability to share with everyone on your domain, even if you haven't added them all to a circle. Very cool.

Google+ expands to Gapps

FINALLY. I was, like tons of others, one of the Gapps users who refused to just "use a different account for Google+". Now I can finally join the party.

For those of you who’ve already started using Google+ with a personal Google Account and would prefer to use your Google Apps account, we’re building a migration tool to help you move over. With this tool, you won’t have to rebuild your circles, and people who’ve already added you to their circles will automatically be connected to your new profile. We expect this migration option to be ready in a few weeks, so if you’d like, you can go ahead and get started with your Apps account today and merge your connections once the tool is available.

Did you see this posted somewhere? I was looking because this was a concern I had. I do not want to start from scratch.

I've not been able to get the Google+ app for Android to work with a Google Apps Google+ account. I just get something about being unable to communicate with the server.

On my co-worker's iPhone it still says that he needs an invite still even though it works fine on both of our browsers.

Same here actually. I was able to create my Google Profile and sign up for Google+ but the Android app is still giving me that error. Probably just a couple kinks to work out.

I am having the same trouble with the android g+ app. Using adb shell and logcat, I can see that the app is getting a 403 (permission denied) response from the google server. The only url I see in the log is , which gives a 404 in my desktop browser.

I'm having the same problem. The profile on the PC works fine - the app gives an error and exits. C'mon Google, you're almost there - just need to make your app work on your devices. :p

Google Apps users: please be advised that if you decide to use Google+, you will be subject to the Real Name policy, as shown here:

This may be something to consider for existing Apps users who are Doing Business As or using a pseudonym professionally.
