We had long ago reported that Garmin was interested in bringing an Android phone to the market, 6 months later it looks like they have the intention to do so...6 months from now. Though no exact specifications or pricing has been set, we can assume that it'll include a heavy brand of location based services.

We'd love to sit down and play with a Garmin-ASUS Android phone, if only to see if this relative newcomer in the smartphone game can create a compelling device. It'd be great to see what Garmin can cook up.
