Sonos for Android

Sonos has released a new Controller app for that brings a new design as well as a bevy of new features. The app has been available for beta testing on Android since March.

The app features an entirely new design that is split into three menus: music currently playing, what room it's playing in and music discovery for upcoming songs. The new version of the app allows you to easily create playlists from different streaming services, set multiple alarms and control the music playing in each room of your house from a single location. Also available is the ability to change surround sound settings for music playback.

Another major feature is universal search across streaming services and music libraries. To use universal search, just link all your streaming services, and Sonos' Controller will do the rest. The app works with all Android devices running Android 2.1 and above. The new version isn't live yet on the Play Store, but it shouldn't be too long before it is available to download.

Wow, major face lift. Still trying to love it.
One issue I am having is getting my surround speakers (ConnectAmp) to play full sound while playing music. The new feature is a must have but it is inconsistent. When I play music, the playbar plays the full load however, when I hit pause and then play, the surround speakers kick in. Strange.
