Google Apps referral program

Program now available to U.S. and Canadian based businesses

Google has started a program that rewards folks spreading the news about Google Apps today. If you're a business who is successfully using Google Apps and want to spread the good word, you now can get $15 per each new user through the Google Apps Referral Program.

Getting started seems simple enough — as long as you're in the U.S. or Canada. Head to the program's website and provide a few details that include a valid taxpayer ID and a bank account number where funds can be despoited. Then start spreading the word via referral links provided when you sign up for the program.

You can refer an unlimited number of people, but only the first 100 people who join count for each individual referral. New users will have to pay for the service for four months before you're eligible for your cash.

Funny how that device in the image (Nexus 4?) is not on Android 4.4 ;)

CMercs says:

why/how is that relevant?

HubyD says:

It isn't, just a remark.

CMercs says:

No, I mean, why does it matter that it's not on 4.4 yet?

The one on the image isn't, it has blue statusbar icons ;)

I just thought the marketing team could have made a smarter choice there :)

My point is that for what this article is talking about, it doesn't matter whether it's 4.4, 4.2, 3.0 or 1.1 (ok, maybe 1.1). These aren't Phone apps. It's the Google Apps for Business... Which work on most versions of Android. And only one of us Phone Geeks would notice the diff twixt 4.2 and 4.4 The people Google is targeting aren't, necessarily, Phone Geeks.

So the most you can make is $1,500?

Ok... I think folks are confusing Android Apps and Google Apps...

Google Apps for Business is a Google service that allows small, medium and enterprise businesses to manage all aspects of their online presence within the Google infrastructure. So instead of MS Exchange and Office you are using GMail, and Google Docs/Drive. You register with Google, point your domain to Google's name-servers, build internal and external facing websites, add any of hundreds of team collaboration "Apps" and you and your employees run your business. All from within Google Apps for Business.

To quote Google; "Google Apps is a cloud-based productivity suite that helps you and your team connect and get work done from anywhere on any device. It's simple to setup, use and manage, allowing you to work smarter and focus on what really matters."

Note the any device comment. Also note that "simple to setup" is subjective, but it is a whole lot easier than setting up something similar on Microsoft's cloud services.
