Google Wallet has scored an update today that makes it a bit easier to keep track of your purchases with the addition of a search tool and maps showing the location of each transaction.

Besides being able to more easily track down old transactions, the obvious advantage with these changes is to more easily keep track of potential unauthorized purchases. If you're checking out a receipt from a tap-and-pay transaction, you'll now see a Google Maps widget showing the exact location of the purchase. Here's the official breakdown of what's new in Google Wallet:

  • Search tool to easily find transactions right in the app
  • Updated receipts that show the merchant and location of each transaction

If you fancy the idea of more easily tracking down suspicious charges, or just remembering where you bought that ridiculously good cup of coffee, you can check for the update from the Google Play badge above.
