Dropbox's recently launched Carousel photo and video app for Android got a new update this week, adding a number of features along with full support for Android L.

Here's the change log for the update which brings the version number up to 1.1.4. It's the first update to the app since it launched that is not just bug fixes:

  • Quickly hide or delete groups of photos and videos in your Carousel
  • Automatic backup of photos and videos is optional
  • Recipients don't need Carousel to view shared photos and videos
  • Carousel works on Android L

What do you think of this latest update to the Carousel app for Android?

Really not sure what app to use to backup photos. I find Google + good, but messy?

I use multiple accounts. Google+, Dropbox, and my WD My Cloud drive. This way, if one of them gets borked for some reason, I still have them backed up without worry.

Why does that guy in the green shirt look like a pedophile who just got caught inappropriately touching that child?

I like it but I'm confused as to how it works. Can't download photos to my phone, can only share or just LOOK at them. That's crazy. Does anyone one know if there is a download function, or do I need to download pics from Dropbox?
