Owners of a Google Cardboard headset can now use the official YouTube Android app to view videos posted on the site through the device. Google is rolling out that support via an app update.

Google says that YouTube virtual reality videos can be watched via Google Cardboard by tapping on the new Cardboard icon. Your smartphone can then be put inside a Cardboard headset to view the 360-degree visual experience. However, Cardboard owners also get benefits from watching any YouTube video, as they can now be viewed with the app as though the user was in a huge virtual movie theater.

You can download the updated YouTube Android app today from the Google Play Store
