Samsung just officially took the wraps off of its next smartwatch, the Gear S2, and while mum's the word on availability, a number of carriers have already stepped up to announce that they will carry the smartwatch.
T-Mobile will carry the 3G version of the Gear S2 later this fall, but no specific launch date was given. However, the carrier stated that buyers can add the smartwatch to their plan for $5 per month with unlimited talk and text, 500MB of data with no overages. Of course, the uncarrier also includes unlimited music streaming though Milk Music and other services as well.
AT&T has announced that it will carry the Gear S2 starting this fall, but pricing and a specific release date weren't mentioned.
Verizon is also on board for the Gear S2 launch, and will offer both the 3G and regular Gear S2 when it launches this fall.
Lastly, U.S. Cellular will also carry the Gear S2, but again, pricing remains a mystery.
So far, there has been no word from Sprint, but we would expect the carrier to make an announcement soon. Likewise, we'd expect the Gear S2 to be available from other retailers, like Best Buy, as well. We'll update this post in the future with exact pricing, availability, and launch date information as it becomes available.
