my issue is not like yours. Mine is a movie i bought which i downloaded to my tablet is no longer on tablet or in my google play account. It is there in my purchase history. So I contacted them. waiting for a reply. either they give me the freaking movie back or give me my money back. was there last week, gone. If they going to do crap like that I will have to jump to Ipad. Which itunes has more then the google play store. I love my tablet but if you going to steal from me that is another issue.

Seems like Google's cloud is having trouble lately, it's not the first time Google Play has had issues, Google Apps suite was having issues a couple weeks ago too...

I guess the federal government is not the only one that is having trouble running.. Google like to follow suit as well!

I had issues playing some TV shows from the Google Play Movies and TV app. It sat there for a long time doing nothing. I backed out and hit play a few times before it actually started.

Glad I'm not the only one.

Just flashed my phone and then this happened while trying to restore apps. About gave me a heart attack.

I search for apps i've purchased and it shows the price instead of "Purchased". Thought my acct screwed up!!!

After a reboot I get a Notification with:
ERROR
Error retrieving information from server.
[RPC:S-5:AEC-0]

weird!?

I was having the same problem a few minutes ago, along with "error retrieving information from server rpc s-5 aec-0" and I found that accessing the Google Play Store Content filtering under Settings, deselecting all but "everyone" entering a pin and selecting everything back solves the problem, now I am downloading apps without any issues.

BlackBerry must have uploaded that BBM4ALL apk. That thing causes havoc everywhere!

Thanks. Just cleared some cache in recovery and almost did a full wipe and restore. Thanks for the heads up. I'll just wait it out..

v¡a ACapp njo¡!

I had the same issue(obviously). Go to Settings > Apps > All Apps > Google Play Store. Then, clear data and force stop in that order. Next, go back to All Apps and find Google Services Framework, clear data and force stop. Finally, exit out of Settings and open up the Play Store again. Everything should work fine. I did this on my HTC One from Verizon and it worked perfectly. Good luck!

Whew, I thought it was just me and my rooted and CM10.2 optimus G Pro running 4.3 as of 12:30AM today

I thought it was just me. I actually managed to get a Chromecast, today! When I got home, I was trying to download the app, to set it up. I thought I was doing something wrong, lol. I managed to set it up, from my PC.

Misery loves company, lol.

Google Play cannot experience anything (headline). People experience.

I experienced this similar problem right after I installed the Verizon OTA updates for the HTC One. I suspected it was the upgrade that caused it. I rebooted my phone twice but got the same problem. After 5 minutes and probably the 4th time I updated my apps, it went on without a hitch. I am glad it wasn't the Verizon update that caused it. Or did it? LOL! Anyway, I'm glad things are back to normal.

Happened to me in the middle of switching to my new, warranty-replaced N4. Thought my WiFi connection had gone to sleep for a few minutes. Made the last 10 installs a little less automatic.

On the bright side, maybe my auto-restore process is what brought the Play store down! I feel [falsely] significant!

I do not know if it is the same issue, but a new gmail update started the morning of Oct. 1st It was still downloading 26 hrs. later on my Nexus 7 (2012). I just stopped it.I have no idea if it has downloaded or not. I enjoy the fact that Google is trying to keep their products up to date, but sometimes it becomes annoying. It was on Wi-Fi the whole time with a strong signal.

Still not able to download hear in the UK its been like this all day getting pee off now with Google

I was able to download apps for a majority of yesterday (though I was experiencing problems the day before) and once again, it's not working...this is ridiculous, Google...

I just upgraded to a Droid Maxx today. Have tried everything mentioned in this thread and nothing has worked. I can download apps, but under the menu button in the Google Play app, "My Apps" does not show up. I cannot access or update anything. 40 minutes on the phone with Google and NOTHING!!!!! Never had a problem before today. Quite disappointed!!!!! Any tips??????

it's been changed, the menu button only shows settings and help now, to access your apps and wishlist you need to swipe from left to the right in the main screen, or touch the top left store icon (shopping bag / cart) and the menu with your account, apps and wishlist will show up, it simply works the same now as the updated YouTube app.
