Google is shutting down the company's comparison service, Google Compare. The platform made it possible compare a wide variety of financial products, be it credit cards, insurance or even mortgages. The service will cease to exist on March 23, as noted in a letter sent out to partners.
Google Compare was available in both the UK and U.S., but unfortunately it hasn't enjoyed the levels of success to warrant further development and expansion. It was stated in the letter that focus will be redirected to AdWords, as well as "future innovations." You'll be able to continue using Google Compare, which launched in 2015, until it's finally axed next month.
