Google has changed the default font in the Play Books app to Literata, which they believe will offer a better reading experience.
Literata is the name of the new font choice found in Google Play Books, and the change comes from Google in an effort to bring a better reading experience to all devices. Information about the new font is rather limited, as Google's announcement came in the form of a tweet with no link to find out more. Google does say that the new font will be "perfect for long reads on all devices".
As for how to check out the new font, we are unsure whether it is a server side update, or we will see a new version of Google Play Books rolling out shortly. Have you seen the new font? If so, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
