CM7 Fascinate

Anyone who has followed the Samsung Fascinate since its launch knows that it has been plagued with some update issues, and only just recently did it finally get Android 2.2. While there have been a number of custom ROMs for the device, it did lack support from the Cyanogen team, until just recently. The Fascinate will now support CM7, and nightly builds will be available for the device. So if you got a Fascinate, be sure to head to the source link, and get to downloading!

I really hope they get the epic 4g on CM7, especially since it's the only galaxy s device not supported now. I'm so sick of the leaked builds of gingerbread. I just want something stable and super fast and CM7 would not disappoint.

I really hope they figure out how to root Gingerbread soon! My Evo is becoming a sloth since the OTA update! I was a little worried about messing it up before but I'm ready to try!!

can anyone hit me with and email and tell me exactly how to go about rooting my fascinate. i already installed the samsung drivers on my computer and i downloaded the droid explorer program on my pc. it doesnt seem to work though. let me know what to do. i'd like to get free hotspot and remove a bunch of this vzw bloat. thanks! colbyrcope@gmail.com

Big thanks to jt1134 for this. More than anyone on earth he made the merging onto official CM7 possible. He is Moses to the Fascinate community

Well this kinda sucks since come Monday I'm off of team Fascinate lol. My phone is an unfortunate victim of the ED04/ED05 bug that made it near impossible to use for basic things like, oh, you know phone calls and text messages. But I'll be using a sleek new Droid Charge & look forward to CyanogenMod on it when the time comes.

Oh and jt1134 is DA MAN on this phone. He has driven the development community to achieve incredible things with this overlooked & maligned phone (much of which I've done lol) gem of a phone. No disrespect to Landshark, Droidxcon or others working magic, they all bow to jt also.

I'll miss you Fascinate. :(

This amazing work wouldn't have been done without jt1134. Big Thanks to him for putting all of his free time on it and making this possible.

I had the Galaxy S Epic 4G and it is kind of heart breaking for them not to include them in this update with Cyanagen Mod 7. Hopefully soon they will do this when the real gingerbread update comes out. That's why I upgraded to the Nexus S.

Have any of you tried any of the nightly builds yet, and if so, which ones, and which is the best? (By this I mean, any noticeable bugs? How are the "tweaks" on each nightly build? Which is best for a mobile gamer like myself?

Question(s). What if I am running a voodoo firmware? Can I just install the CM7 right over the top of it without any problems? Or do I need to remove the Voodoo first? How do I remove the Voodoo if so?
Thanks

Awesome, I want to try it out. My only question is, why is it nightly? Does the team really update the ROM that often?

Only thing i can complain about after the 1st week of use, is everyone has told me my call volume is very quiet, any chance on boosting the Mic volume in the phone calls?
