Alaska Airlines app finally updated with fresh design and features

Alaska Airlines has finally updated its Android app after a long wait, bringing it up to a modern and full-featured design more in line with the new iOS app that has been available for some time. If you've used the Alaska Airlines app previously you'll know it was quite a blast from the past, and the new experience is dramatically better. The new home screen nicely displays upcoming trips, and a slide-in panel gives you quick access to booking trips, checking in or accessing your account.

The new My Account area gives you a nice look at your mileage, elite tier qualification and your available miles, and there's a new "Flight Schedules" area where you can see every flight between two airports without going through a booking process. But when you do go to book, the interface has a nice clean look with easy to press buttons and a simpler interface than what you found before.

The latest update is available now in the Play Store at the link above, and even if you don't plan on flying for a while it might be worth poking around on just to see all of the improvements.
