Reserve for Android

Reserve, the restaurant reservation app and service created by former Uber and Foursquare co-founders, has made its Android debut today in the Google Play Store after first launching for iOS in the fall of 2014.

Reserve not only can get you a table, but it can also help you pay for your meal when you are ready to leave. Here's a quick description:

Open the app and tell us a few details about the size of your party and when you want to dine. Browse our curated list of some of your city's best restaurants and make your selection — our digital dining concierge will go to work to get you a table. With more than a hundred of the country's best restaurants, you'll have terrific options to choose from, no matter where you are. If the restaurant isn't able to accommodate you, we'll provide you with suggestions of alternate places you might like.

After your meal, the check will be seamlessly handled by the Reserve app — just like having a house account at your favorite spot. Since your payment information and tipping preferences are stored in the app, you don't have to break out your wallet, or even your phone, at the end of the meal. The bill — including tax, tip and Reserve's flat $5 concierge fee — will be automatically taken care of.

The service currently works only in four cities — Los Angeles, Boston, New York and San Francisco — but they're working on expanding in the future. If you happen to be dining in those locales, you can download the app for free from Google Play.
