The Twitter team has rolled out an update for the official Android app, enabling the "While you were away" feature. This helps you to remain up-to-date with everything happening on the micro-blogging site, providing you with some top tweets determined by who you interact with most on Twitter.

Checking in with the social network every so often throughout the day can prove to be rather bothersome, especially if you follow multiple accounts. Highlighted content should provide at least some relevant reading for when you fire up the app. The 'while you were away' feature was introduced to iOS users last month.

Check out the update on Google Play. If you're unable to see the update yet, head to My Apps and see if you can manually check for the latest release.
