Google Search now offers a handy mortgage calculator

Google's always building handy new features into Google Search, and now they're adding a mortgage calculator to the mix. Ask Google how much a 5.015 percent interest rate over 30 years on a $265,000 mortgage will cost you in the end and it will tell you.

The answer, by the way, is $1,425 a month, adding up to a whopping $513,000 by the time you're done paying. This isn't a highly-advanced mortgage calculator here — there's no additional principle payments, balloon payments, or amortization tablets to be seen, but for a quick "How much house can I really afford?", it's a handy little tool.
