Who let the dogs out?

Google let a test build of YouTube app hit public release

Google is in the midst of updating the YouTube app, and somehow or another an internal test version made it's way to Google Play. We imagine it's already pulled, and things will be recitfied, but it's neat even if only temporary.

Still there. Not sure what's different about it yet other than the dog bone in the icon.

Meanwhile, at Google HQ:

"Hey Kevin, could you go and push the latest test build to the server? I'm going to get a coffee"

"Sure thing, Mark."

-----30min later-----

"KEVIN, YOU HAD ONE JOB!!!!"

Kevin look what you've made Mark do.

If only he'd put on the proper TPS cover sheet.

unrealmp3 says:

Well in Kevin's defense, Mark asked for the "latest test build" to be pushed, not the latest production build :P

Pretty sure Dogfooding is a technical term meaning that you use your own stuff to demonstrate a new product; from the term "Eating your own dogfood". From the Wiki:
"Eating your own dog food, also called dogfooding, is a slang term used to reference a scenario in which a company (usually, a computer software company) uses its own product to demonstrate the quality and capabilities of the product.[1]"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eating_your_own_dog_food

Goatzilla says:

Exactly. A example would be like if Google required all of it's employees to use Android, or Microsoft using Visual Studio to write other software - like Office.
