Google Cardboard is now available in 39 different languages across 100 countries on both Android and iOS devices. Additionally, Google has released its developer documents in 10 languages, making it easier for developers to read and take advantage of the tools provided. Since anyone can make their own Cardboard viewer thanks to the open designs, Google has seen an increase in third-party options.
With new viewers from Mattel and Zeiss, the options for the virtual reality hardware continue to grow. Beyond just publishing the documents in additional languages, Google has also updated the Cardboard SDK. Included in the updated SDK are improvements for drift correction and Unity performance. Finally, Google is taking you even more places with its Google Street View in Cardboard, allowing you to explore the constantly updated views from around the world.
