Google has started rolling out an update of its Chrome browser for Android devices. The new version number is 40.0.2214.109 and Google states, "This release contains a fix for some Samsung devices seeing a permissions error."

This update contains 11 security fixes, many of which are based on bugs that were found by external developers. As usual, your specific smartphone or tablet might not be able to download the update right away, but it should roll out for every user over the next few days.

You can grab Chrome 40 from the Google Play Store.
