Audio book aficionados, rejoice! Fan-favorite Audible indeed is working on an Android application, and it's currently in beta. The premise is simple: Select and purchase a book from Audible.com. It will appear in your list on the Android app. You then download it to your phone (and you're likely going to really want WiFi or 4G for this, as books tend to be large files) and listen to your heart's content. The process was pretty simple (even for this Audible noob). Our only real complaint is that you can't currently purchase a book directly from the app -- you have to do it from the desktop side. It's not a deal-breaker, just an annoyance. More screenies after the break.
