UK retailer Carphone Warehouse notified customers of a major data breach this weekend, resulting in the personal information of up to 2.4 million customers being obtained by hackers. In the wake of this news, there's been some speculation as to whether Samsung's UK-based Experience Stores were affected by this hack, as these are operated by Carphone Warehouse, with orders being processed by the mobile retail giant.

However it seems Samsung store customers in the UK can rest easy. A Samsung spokesperson today told Android Central, "we are aware of the situation and can confirm that this will not impact Samsung Experience Stores."

For its part, Carphone Warehouse says it's contacting customers who are affected, so if you've made an online purchase from CPW or its online subsidiaries, you should be on the lookout for an email.
