The Google Pixel Watch has long been a winner in our guide to the best Android smartwatches. Currently the Pixel Watch 4 holds the crown for the top spot in the best for Wear OS category, but once we've reviewed the new Pixel Watch 5, the predecessor may well be ousted from its top spot.

We've not yet reviewed Google's latest flagship smartwatch, but we did recently go hands-on with the Pixel Watch 5, where we concluded that it's not much different from the 4.5-star-rated Google Pixel Watch 4.

The Pixel Watch 5 features smart sleep tracking, which records a range of data, including time spent in sleep stages and breathing regularity, and then summarizes it all in a personalized Sleep Score. The watch is also light and compact, which is ideal for wearing at night.

If you're into activity tracking, you'll love the ability to capture performance across more than 50 activities. Onboard GPS enables you to track walks, runs, and bike rides through cities and dense forests with reporting provided across a range of metrics.
