LG has announced a new flip phone, but the company has opted to load Android Lollipop to give the smartphone some power. You may remember the years of flip phones when they were all the craze, but that trend has since been succeeded by touch screens and thinner designs. LG is now bringing it back with the LG Gentle.
There's a rather large keypad on offer, perfect for elderly consumers or those with larger hands and fingers. We're looking at a 3.2-inch LCD touch-enabled display (480x320), 1.1GHz quad-core CPU, LTE connectivity, Android 5.1, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage (with MicroSD support), and a 1,700mAh battery.
The specifications won't blow your mind, but it is an entry-level phone, priced at just over $170. Availability outside South Korea has not been detailed, though we wouldn't hold our breaths for a European or US launch.
