Google has invested more than $60 million in China-based Android Wear partner Mobvoi, landing the search giant with a minority stake in the AI firm. The move is part of a $75 million fundraising round.

Mobvoi is responsible for work on automated and voice-controlled software, much like what's used in Google Search on Android. The two companies have worked together in the past to provide Chinese voice search for Android Wear.
