DINC 4G LTE

Minor update reduces power cycling and adds ISIS support

HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE owners will be happy to know that Verizon Wireless appears to have approved an update for the device, according to some new documents on their website. While the update isn't a new version of Android, like KitKat, it does help improve the performance of the device, and that is always welcomed.

Verizon has posted the changes that are found in the new software, version 2.19.605.2 710RD, and the changes are -

  • ISIS Mobile Wallet is now supported
  • Software Upgrade and Software Repair Tools are now compatible
  • Power cycling has been reduced
  • Bluetooth® clarity has been improved
  • Security patches have been added

If any of these issues impacted your device you will definitely want to be on the lookout for this update, and even if you aren't having many issues you will want to update. Seeing the update on your device yet? Be sure to let us know in the forums any issues you come across during the update.

I got this today! I'm hoping this means Google Services and Maps will stop keeping my phone awake for hours, killing my battery.

I did try Bluetooth and found it sounded better than before...less crackle.

Of course, I still wish we had gotten Jelly Bean, which I expected to have around a year ago. But if this makes my phone stop dying all the time then I can limp to July when I can get a new phone!

Update showed up for me today!

I got all excited thinking it was going to be a real update.

This will probably be my first and last HTC phone. Weren't we promised Jelly Bean last year? No support.
