Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7-inch) specs

This can't be right. It will have to be HD. It can't be lower def than Samsung’s 4.6" Galaxy Nexus.

Maybe this is the low-end version that is supposed to complete with the $100 Colby? The real one will be announced next week at MWC?

What's the point of releasing last year's specs on a device that basically carries the exact same stuff?

This isn't the Tab 2 model Samsung wants to push, imo. I expect to see a more formidable version, like an enhanced Tab 7.7, to be shown.

This Tab 2 is real, it's just not the mass market device Samsung is holding close to it's chest. I hope, anyway.

Oh, I am not happy to see a HSPA+ radio on a brand new Samsung device. I am really hoping to see an LTE compatible device with a Samsung processor pushing it in the next 3 or 4 months.

The original Galaxy Tab 7 isn't the newes model of the series right now. The galaxy Tag 7 PLUS uses the 1,2(!) Ghz Exynos CPU/GPU Chipset. So 1Ghz for the Tab 2 seems like a joke!

Who has a ICS capable tablet with an SD card slot? That's what I want. I do remote filming on an GoPro HD Hero, which records to an SD card. I want to slip that card into my tablet and watch the video to know if I need to do something else.

I already have the monitor "backpack" for my HD Hero, but I'm currently hauling around an old laptop which I use only to view the filmed bits on a decently sized monitor to see what's going on.

Give me a tablet with an SD card slot, can read the H.264 funky GoPro videos (allow me to install a codec if needed), and give me the ability to tether, since Verizon won't bundle (share) data plans across devices.. and I'm buying it.

To everyone complaining about the specs, I'm pretty sure this is going to be a budget tablet. That's why the specs aren't that good. Maybe it's supposed to be a kindle fire competitor? I will definitely get one if it's <£250

Amazon has the best galaxy tabs anywhere online. Need a discount code? Just google TMAC DEAL SNOOPER - They have a gold box on the site that will spit out a discount code of any galaxy tab that you enter (just type in galaxy tab s). Really neat and I use it all the time and save big on nikon scopes and other products using this tool.
