Motorola is announcing the Moto E today, with events in both India and the UK revealing the more affordable Android offering. The company has also released a new promotional video showing off the latest handset. Say hello to the cheaper, yet quirkier Moto E.

For specifications, we're looking at a 4.3-inch qHD screen with a ppi of 256. There's also a 1.2GHz Snapdragon CPU, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal memory, microSD card support and a 5 MP camera (no FFC). Then you have the usual Bluetooth 4.0 functionality alongside dual-SIM and a 1980 mAh battery.

I might pick this up as my "waiting for my next flagship" device and get one for my father-in-law as a regular device.
