Motorola's Razr Fold finally has a price: It's cheaper than the Galaxy Z Fold 7
Motorola has revealed that the Razr Fold will be available starting at $1,899.99 in the U.S.
What you need to know
- Motorola Razr Fold is priced at $1,899.99 in the US, undercutting the Galaxy Z Fold 7 by $100.
- Pre-orders start May 17 via Best Buy and Motorola, with open sales beginning on May 21.
- The Razr Fold packs Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 16GB RAM, and a 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
Nearly four months after Motorola first showcased its Razr Fold, the company has finally revealed the pricing and availability details of the device.
One of the more interesting products at CES 2026 was Motorola's first book-style foldable smartphone. While the company has been making Razr-branded foldables for years, the Razr Fold marks its first proper entry into the book-style foldable category, going head-to-head with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series.
This is honestly pretty aggressive pricing from Motorola. Not only does the Razr Fold undercut the Galaxy Z Fold 7, but it's also launching at a time when Samsung has already increased prices on some of its Z Fold 7 variants in the U.S.
At the time, Motorola didn't reveal pricing or availability, but that has now changed. The Razr Fold will be priced at $1,899.99 in the U.S., which means it undercuts its closest rival, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, by $100. Samsung's latest foldable starts at $2,000, while Motorola is coming in at $1,900.

The Razr Fold will be available for pre-order starting May 17 through Best Buy and Motorola's website, and will go on sale on May 21. It'll also be coming to carriers like T-Mobile, Xfinity Mobile, and Verizon in the following months, although Motorola hasn't shared exact dates for those just yet.
In terms of features, the Razr Fold includes a 6.6-inch cover display and a large 8.1-inch internal foldable display with a 2K resolution. Interestingly, the outer display supports a 165Hz refresh rate, while the inner display is capped at 120Hz.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and comes with 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM. One of the standout features here is the 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, which is ahead of both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
There's also a triple camera setup on the back, and the design is very much in line with Motorola's recent styling. We'll be going hands-on with the device soon, so stay tuned for a full review.
