A big saving on the mid-level Moto X in the UK.
If you've been eyeing Motorola's mid-range Moto X Play, today's Amazon UK sale may be tempting. For today only (Monday, Nov. 23) the online retail giant is selling the Moto X Play in black with 16GB of storage for £199.99. That's a significant cut from the £260-280 price range normally occupied by the Play.
November security patch should get technical approval today and roll out immediately to U.S. unlocked A9s.
Update: According to HTC's Mo Versi on Twitter, the OTA update containing the November security updates, along with improvements to the camera and battery, is indeed going out tonight. Happy updating!

We're in Berlin, Germany, today for a little get-together with Huawei's Honor contingent, and marketing exec Xi Zhao just let it be known that we should expect to see a beta test for Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the Honor 7 in a matter of weeks. Four weeks (plus or minus, we suppose), in fact.
What's the Honor 7, you ask? Here's how we summed up the phone a couple months ago:
HTC's iPhone lookalike hits a lot of important targets. But overall it feels like another near miss for the Taiwanese manufacturer — especially for buyers outside the U.S.
The quick take
For an awful lot of people, the HTC One A9 will be all the smartphone they need. It looks and feels great, has fluid, well-designed software and a dependable camera. But the launch price feels inflated for...
