Amazon's epic Prime Big Deal Days shopping event has officially come to an end, but there are still plenty of great Android phone deals hanging around the nooks and crannies of the web. We'll keep running this live blog over the next few days so you know where to look if you missed the big sale. You might be surprised by what's still available.

I've been working in the e-commerce space for nearly a decade, essentially building a career around tracking down the best deals and offering the best shopping advice for customers. Needless to say, this experience puts me in a good position to tell you exactly what to buy and when. So whether you're just curious or you're hoping to get your holiday shopping done early, if you're looking to pick up a new phone, you're in the right place.

Google Pixel 7a

Taking an early look at these deals, and I can already tell this October Prime Day is going to feature a lot of firsts. For example, you can currently grab an unlocked Google Pixel 7a for just $399, which is the cheapest that the midrange phone has ever been through the retailer, no strings attached.

As we detail in our Google Pixel 7a review, this is one of the best midrange phone experiences that money can buy, thanks to the 7a's flagship-quality camera tech and the power of the Tensor G2 processor. It may be quite a while before Google unveils the Pixel 8a, so if you want a premium Pixel experience without paying a premium Pixel price, now's your chance.

The OnePlus 11 in the official Aramid Fiber case

The OnePlus 11 is perhaps the most eye-catching flagship phone on the market, but as detailed in our recent review, it's just as impressive on the inside, thanks to the addition of the ultra-efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a fluid 120Hz AMOLED display, and the best camera tech on any OnePlus phone that we've ever used.

The prospect of buying the OnePlus 11 becomes even more tempting during Prime Big Deal Days, as Amazon is carving an excellent $150 off the price of the 256GB model. That's a full $30 cheaper than the phone's lowest-ever point.

The back of the green Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is a beast of a phone, complete with a built-in stylus, cutting-edge camera, and the efficient power of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. You also get a massive 6.8-inch AMOLED 120Hz display and four years of Android OS upgrades guaranteed. In fact, the only significant strike against the S23 Ultra is its price. With a starting price of $1,199.99, the premium phone is out of reach for most people without a good S23 deal.

Luckily, October Prime Day is changing all that with an exclusive offer that'll drop a hefty $250 off the price of the 256GB phone, but only if you're a Prime member. It's just one of the many member-only deals that are launching over the next few days, so if you haven't joined Prime yet, now would be a good time — plus there's a 30-day free trial when you sign up!

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 in Flex Mode with the camera on

If you're in the market for a foldable phone during this 48-hour sale event, allow me to introduce you to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. This stylish little smartphone boasts an eminently pocketable form factor with a new-and-improved cover display and a Snapdragon chip. Plus, as it's a Samsung device, you can expect plenty of software updates for years to come.

If you're a Prime member, grab a Z Flip 5 from Amazon and you'll get a cool 20% discount instantly. That's a straight $200 off, no strings attached and no trade-in required.

The back of the black Samsung Galaxy A54 5G

If you're looking to spend a little less during Prime Day 2.0, check out this offer that carves a hefty $120 off the price of the Samsung Galaxy A54 — if you're a Prime member. That's 20 bucks cheaper than the midrange phone's previous record low price, so grab the discount while you're can.

Didn't read our Galaxy A54 review? Well, for a starting price of $449.99 (without the above discount, of course), you're getting a Samsung phone with a large 5,000mAh battery, an AMOLED 120Hz display, and loads of software support. The camera software even supports 4K video recording.

Hands-on with the Google Pixel 8

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

The Google Pixel 8 series doesn't officially drop until this Thursday, October 12th, but if you preorder the flagship during Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon will hook you up with a pair of Pixel Buds Pro for 100% free. That's a value of $199.99! The best part is that you don't need to be a Prime member to take advantage of this Pixel 8 preorder deal, simply hit that Add to Cart button and the offer is yours.

The new Pixel 8 improves upon its acclaimed predecessor in a few key areas. You get the cutting-edge Tensor G3 chip, plus a bunch of groundbreaking AI features and years of software support guaranteed. Interested in learning more about the stylish flagship? Samsung Galaxy S22 review

(Image credit: Derrek Lee / Android Central)

Let's face it. New phones are great fun and all, and it's always exciting to be on the cutting edge, but you don't exactly need the absolute newest phone on the market to get a great mobile experience.

Nearly two years after its release date, the Samsung Galaxy S22 is still a solid flagship phone, complete with a sleek, compact design, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, and reliable camera tech. And thanks to Samsung's extensive software support, you'll still get Android 14.

Perhaps the best part is that older phones also tend to get the best discounts, such as this Prime Day offer that slashes a straight $250 off the base model Galaxy S22. This is a return to the 256GB phone's lowest-ever price point, and you don't need to be a Prime member to save!

Moto G 5G (2022) rear

(Image credit: Derrek Lee / Android Central)

Speaking of phones that are slightly older, check out this deal that carves a jaw-dropping 53% off the Moto G 5G (2022), an admittedly just-decent phone that nevertheless boasts excellent bang for the buck in the form of great battery life, reliable performance, and expandable storage.

Most importantly, since the Moto 5G (2022) 256GB has a starting price of just $399.99, this massive discount is knocking the phone down to a mere $189.99! That's serious budget phone territory, plus you don't need to be a Prime member to take advantage of the savings.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 in flex mode

If you want something a little more premium, look no further than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. As senior content producer Nicholas Sutrich detailed in his glowing review, the Z Fold 5 is the "best large foldable phone that you can buy today", complete with the top-of-the-line Android hardware, two gorgeous displays, and all the extensive software support that Samsung is known for.

To make the prospect of buying this foldable phone even sweeter, Prime Big Deal Days is dropping 17% off the price of the unlocked Z Fold 5, which is the deepest discount that it's ever received. That deal is great on its own, but if you're a Prime member, you could save an additional $100 on your purchase!

(Image credit: Derrek Lee / Android Central)

One of the biggest debates in Android phones this year is whether the Galaxy Z Flip 5 or the Motorola Razr Plus (2023) is the better foldable phone. And now that Prime Big Deal Days is slashing 20% off both options, the decision isn't getting any easier any time sooner.

Regardless, with a discounted price of $799.99 for the 256GB model, you can't go wrong with the Razr Plus (2023). This sleek device features two vibrant and fluid displays, a Snapdragon chip, and all those fun gestures that Motorola has become known for. The only catch is that this discount is exclusive to Prime members, so make sure you log in before checking out!

The Pixel 7 in a tree

(Image credit: Derrek Lee / Android Central)

It's no secret that the Google Pixel 7 is one of our favorite Android phones of the last few years. It has just about everything you could ever want in a modern flagship, from the efficiency of the Tensor G2 chipset to its fun camera features and stylish design and colorways.

Now that the Pixel 8 has come along, the Google Pixel 7 may begin to feel like old news — which basically just means it's going to be discounted more often than before. Case in point: you can grab an unlocked Pixel 7 128GB for the discounted price of $479.99 during Prime Big Deal Days, and you don't even need to be a Prime member! That's a 20% discount, no strings attached.

(Image credit: Derrek Lee / Android Central)

Who says you need to spend an arm and a leg to get a sweet stylus phone? The Moto G Stylus 5G (2023), which already retails for a reasonable $399.99, is getting the Prime Day treatment with a deal that knocks the price of the phone down to just $284.98 when you're logged into your Prime account. That's the cheapest that the phone has ever been!

As detailed in our Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) review, you're also getting a pretty sweet smartphone out of the deal. In addition to the built-in stylus that gave the phone its name, this midrange device comes with a vivid 120Hz display, loud stereo speakers, and some surprisingly-great performance under the hood.

Whenever Amazon launches a major sale event, you can bet your bottom dollar that Best Buy won't be too far behind with excellent deals of their own. For an example, simply check out this offer that gets you a FREE Google Pixel Watch 2 when you preorder the Google Pixel 8 Pro ahead of its release date on Thursday.

That's a $349.99 value on a brand new wearable, plus you're getting one of the best Android phones that's likely to drop until next year. Sharp eyes might notice that this is the same preorder deal that Amazon is currently offering for the Pixel 8 Pro, but Best Buy is sweetening the offer by throwing in a full month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for free.

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

We're already nearing the end of the first day of Prime Big Deal Days, but it seems like the phone deals are showing no signs of stopping. For example, you can grab the OnePlus 10T and save a whopping 30%, and you don't even need to be a Prime member!

Although it lacks a telephoto lens and wireless charging support, the OnePlus 10T is a great phone, complete with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, ultra-fast performance, and amazing battery life that juices up quick when you need it to. Read the review if you're still on the fence, but don't wait too long: October Prime Day is almost halfway over.

Otterbox Symmetry Flex Series Case for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

This blog post mostly focuses on Prime Day phone deals, but people happy with their current phones shouldn't sit idle. There are a ton of Prime Day phone case deals available, and one of our favorite brands (Otterbox) has some particularly great ones.

We couldn't possibly list every deal available, but some of our favorite phones — the Galaxy S23 and S22 series, Pixel 7a & 6a, Moto G series, and others all have Otterbox Defender, Commuter, Symmetry, or Lite cases available. Now's a great time to keep your phone protected, so that it'll last you for years and then work as a trade-in for your next phone deal!

The shiny back of the OnePlus Nord N30 5G

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

Among the best cheap Android phones, we've already highlighted Prime Day phone deals on our first two picks: the Pixel 7a and Galaxy A54 5G. But they're more like cheap mid-range phones than truly "cheap" phones. Our number three pick, the OnePlus Nord N30 5G, is more affordable than both at full price, and it's currently $50 off on top of that.

What makes the Nord N30 5G better than the budget competition? Our review praised the "fast processor, huge battery, and ultra-fast charging," along with the 120Hz display and three years of promised software support. You're getting a high-quality experience that puts most comparably priced Moto phones to shame for $150 less than the Pixel 7a.

The Lavender Galaxy S23 in hand

(Image credit: Derrek Lee / Android Central)

As the first Amazon Prime Big Deal Day winds down, let's get back to basics here: the Galaxy S23 series is among the best on the market, and the 6.1-inch S23 is our pick for the "best small phone" out there — and it's $300 less than the S23 Ultra right now, at $150 off

There's no question that the S23 is fast, bright, long-lasting for both battery and software, and not bad to look at — as our review explains in depth. The question is, if you're hunting for an affordable Galaxy phone, should you buy the Galaxy S23 or the Galaxy A54 for half the price? That guide will run through the pros and cons for each choice, but it's a tough decision between top-tier specs and affordable compromise.

OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey hands-on

(Image credit: Apoorva Bhardwaj / Android Central)

The OnePlus 11 is a fabulous phone in its own right, and right now, you can get it for as low as $549, making it the best bargain around. You get the same hardware as the Galaxy S23, and the screen is just as vibrant. The battery lasts a little longer, and with 80W charging, it takes just over 30 minutes to fully charge the phone. And yes, there's a charger in the box.

OnePlus is doing all the right things on the software front as well, and the OnePlus 11 will get four Android OS updates, just like Samsung. I also like the Hasselblad-tuned cameras on the OnePlus 11 more than the Galaxy S23, and all things considered, you're getting a phone that is better than what Samsung is offering, and it costs a lot less.

OnePlus 10 Pro

(Image credit: Harish Jonnalagadda / Android Central)

If you don't mind using a slightly older phone, the OnePlus 10 Pro is getting a sizeable discount that makes it worthy of consideration. The phone launched 18 months ago, and it still manages to hold its own today: the hardware still has a lot to offer, the cameras are terrific, there's a sublime 120Hz AMOLED screen, and you get ultra-fast charging tech.

The design isn't quite as elegant as the OnePlus 11, and you won't get as many software updates. The upside is that the phone is now available for just $439, making it a great overall value.

Hands-on with the Google Pixel 8

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

The time is almost here, as Google's latest Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are set to be released on October 12. But if you've been on the fence about getting one, you might want to head on over and take advantage of the pre-order deals that are still available.

If you pre-order the smaller Pixel 8, you'll be able to get a set of Pixel Buds Pro for free, a value of $199.99. Meanwhile, for those who want the larger Pixel 8 Pro, you'll get a free Pixel Watch 2 just for pre-ordering. This is definitely one of those last-minute deals that you won't want to miss out on!

In between the base model Galaxy S23 and the super-powered S23 Ultra sits the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus, a perfectly-balanced smartphone with a gorgeous 120Hz display, stellar battery life, and the efficiency of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset.

Sign in to your Prime account (or join) during the second day of Prime Big Deal Days and you can get this versatile device for just $799.99. That's 20% off and the cheapest that the phone has ever been through the retailer!

TCL 40XL smartphone

I bet when you landed on this page you didn't expect to see a 2023 smartphone going for less than $100, did you? And yet, here we are: thanks to Prime Big Deal Days, you can get the TCL 40XL (2023) for just $97.99, an absurd 46% drop from its usual retail price.

Unlike some phones on this list, the TCL 40XL may not win any awards for power or speed, but you're still getting a reliable phone with Android 13, a smooth 90Hz display, and a huge 5,000mAh that should easily last through the day on a single charge. All of this for less than a Benjamin? Why not?

(Image credit: Derrek Lee / Android Central)

Now for something a little different.

While Amazon has been slashing prices on smartphones left and right, if you're a Verizon customer, you might simply be able to get a new phone for free if you play your cards right.

Sign into your Verizon account and add a line with any 5G Unlimited plan and the carrier will give you enough promo credits to make the Samsung Galaxy S22 totally free! Not too shabby for a flagship phone that still performs with the best of them.

Hands-on with the Google Pixel 8

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

Just in case you missed it yesterday, allow us to remind you that the Google Pixel 8 officially hits store shelves tomorrow, October 12th. That means that today is your last chance to preorder the Google flagship and get a FREE pair of Pixel Buds Pro out of the deal.

That's a value of $199.99 (!!!), plus you're getting a brand new smartphone with the power of the Tensor G3 chip, a bunch of new AI-powered camera features, and enough software support to last for years to come.

The Moto G Play (2023) outside, next to a pillar

(Image credit: Derrek Lee / Android Central)

The Moto G Play (2023) was already a solid budget phone to buy this year, but a Prime Day discount has come along and carved an additional 39% off the device, sending the price crashing down to just $104.49

Although it's far from the best Motorola offering this year, the Moto G Play (2023) nevertheless boasts a decent MediaTek Helio G37 processor, a big 5,000mAh battery, and a rear fingerprint sensor.

Motorola Edge+ (2023)

Speaking of Motorola, if you're a Prime member you can get the excellent Moto Edge Plus (2023) for just $649.99, a sweet $150 drop from its usual price. That's the cheapest that the phone has ever been!

As we state in our glowing Moto Edge Plus (2023) review, this is the best flagship smartphone that Motorola has released in years, coming complete with a luxuriously smooth 165Hz pOLED display, two days of battery life, and superb performance thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 in Flex Mode with YouTube controls

We're nearing the end of Amazon's epic Prime Big Deal Days sale, but you still have time to save 20% on the 256GB Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 if you're a Prime member. If you aren't, you'll still get a nice $110 off your purchase of the phone. It's hard to know if either deal is going to stick around after the sale, so don't wait too long if you're interested in this foldable!

It's no secret that we're big fans of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. This sleek, compact foldable boasts two vibrant displays, the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and some surprisingly great camera tech.

Google Pixel 6

(Image credit: Ara Wagoner / Android Central)

Here at Android Central, we obviously get to use a lot of great new phones. But despite being a few years old, one device I keep going back to again and again is the Google Pixel 6. It still produces some of the best nighttime photography of any phone I've ever used, and I prefer the smooth artsy design over the partially-aluminum build of the Pixel 7 series.

Still, I wouldn't exactly recommend choosing the Pixel 6 over a newer phone unless you found a really good deal, which is exactly what's happening during Prime Big Deal Days. Pick up the unlocked Pixel 6 128GB from Amazon and you'll save a straight 40%, which is the deepest discount that the phone has ever received from the retailer.

RedMagic 8S Pro

(Image credit: Namerah Saud Fatmi / Android Central)

If you're passionate about mobile gaming, the RedMagic 8S Pro should really be on your radar. This gaming phone features dual processors, an enormous 6,000mAh battery, and a complex cooling system that prevents the device from overheating, even during the most intense gaming sessions. The 8S Pro also boasts an ultra-crisp 120Hz display with 1300 nits of brightness so your games look as immersive as possible.

The phone usually starts at $969 for the 16GB RAM/512GB storage model, but thanks to Prime Big Deal Days, you can snag an unlocked RedMagic 8S Pro for the discounted price of $719.20. That's a historic 26% discount, but only for Prime members!

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

Still have some money leftover in your Prime Day budget? It's worth noting that Otterbox is discounting a bounty of Android phone cases and accessories in the remaining hours of Prime Big Deal Days, with discounts as large as 45% up for grabs.

Otterbox produces some of the best phone cases on the market, but they're not cheap, so now's your chance to get premium protection for less. Rugged cases for the Samsung Galaxy A54, S22, Google Pixel 7a, and many more are currently seeing discounts so check the link above to see if your phone is included in the list.

The back of the Charcoal Google Pixel 7a

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

In case you missed it earlier, the affordable Google Pixel 7a is still sitting with an excellent 20% discount for all Prime members until Big Deal Days wraps up this evening. That's a historic price drop for one of the best Android phones that money can buy, so don't miss this opportunity!

Don't be fooled by the Google Pixel 7a's accessible price tag, this phone has a ton of flagship-level specs that'd surprise you, such as the Tensor G2 chipset, a long-lasting battery, and all the exclusive AI-powered camera tech that the Pixel series is famous for.

Blackview Bv4900

It certainly isn't for everyone, but if you prize durability in a phone, the Blackview BV4900 is tough to beat. This device boasts drop-proof, military grade durability and IP68, which means that it'll withstand 99% of dust and up to two hours of immersion in water. Pair that with a massive 5,580mAh battery and you're looking at a rugged, take-anywhere smartphone that doesn't even need a case.

It's also quite affordable, and the current 20% Prime Day discount means you can get your hands on the BV4900 for just $103.99.

Portable charger render

Now that you got your new Prime Day phone all picked out, make sure it stays juiced up no matter where you are with this 25,800mAh portable charging bank that's currently seeing a ridiculous 58% discount at Amazon.

Compatible with both iPhone and Android devices, the power bank is totally wireless and comes with two USB-A ports and four LED indicator lights that help you keep track of charging progress.

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

Among Motorola's phone lineup, the ThinkPhone often gets overlooked in favor of attention-grabbing devices like the Razr Plus, but it's still an excellent device with clean software, a durable build with IP68 protection, and four years of software support guaranteed.

Prime Big Deal Days will be ending in a matter of hours, but if you pick up an unlocked ThinkPhone ASAP (and you're a Prime member, of course), you'll save a hefty $380 on your purchase!

The back of the green Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

As Prime Day draws down into its final hours, we're going to circle back on one of the very first deals we highlighted yesterday: the Galaxy S23 Ultra is $250 off, one of the lowest prices we've seen.

The only reason the Galaxy S23 Ultra isn't listed as our #1 best Android phone (it's currently third) is that we try to take price into account, and most people shouldn't buy a $1,200 phone when a $900 or $200 phone does almost as well. But now that the S23 Ultra is just $50 more than the new Pixel 8 Pro, it's really hard not to consider snagging Samsung's flagship rather than wait a few months for the S24 Ultra and pay full price.

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G's display outdoors

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

Still waffling on which phone to buy? At this point, you're probably not looking for a flagship phone, so you should pay close attention to our more affordable favorites instead — like the Galaxy A54 5G.

Samsung nailed this mid-range phone. The OLED display is beautiful and matches the S23 series for refresh rate. The Exynos 1380 chip is respectably fast and is still being used for new products like the Galaxy Tab S9 FE. The camera quality is pretty comparable to the S23, too, and you get similar battery life and water resistance. So why pay twice as much when you can get close to the real thing for just $329?

Using the large inner display on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5

Just as we expected, Prime Big Deal Days came and went with a bunch of historic discounts in tow, but you might be surprised by the amount of great phone deals that are still hanging around. We're still sifting through the wreckage after the sale, but I've already found this deal that knocks $300 off the unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 5 — and you don't even need to be a member!

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is basically a premium Android phone and tablet all rolled into one, with two durable and vibrant displays, an extraordinary Snapdragon chip, and years of software support guaranteed.

The bright display on the Google Pixel 8 Pro

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

The Google Pixel 8 Pro just hit store shelves today, but it doesn't seem like Amazon is retiring the phone's preorder promotion just yet. Order the phone today and you'll get the new Google Pixel Watch 2 for 100% free, regardless of whether or not you're a Prime member. That's a value of $349.99!

If you're wary of purchasing a brand new phone, we actually just published our initial Google Pixel 8 Pro review yesterday. First impressions have been very positive, with Senior Content Director Nick Sutrich going so far as to call the Pro "the best phone that Google has ever made, bar none".

If that's not high praise, I don't know what is!

Hands-on with the Moto G 5G

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

The Moto G 5G (2023) may not be the most impressive or feature-packed phone on the market, but it's a reliable choice if you don't want to spend a ton of cash — especially when you pair it with a stellar 20% discount at Amazon.

For less than $200, you're getting a 2023 device with Android 13, an efficient Snapdragon chip, and a large battery that'll easily surpass a full day on a single charge. You also get 5G support, of course, and all of those fun Motorola gestures that we know and love.

(Image credit: Derrek Lee / Android Central)

The 20% off discount that we saw during Prime Day is long gone, but you can still save a nice $110 when you buy an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 from Amazon. This sleek foldable boasts an ultra-efficient Snapdragon chip, a new-and-improved cover display, and a waterdrop-style hinge that — while not as invisible as they were probably hoping — is nevertheless quite durable and folds flat.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 lying in some plants

(Image credit: Derrek Lee / Android Central)

The Galaxy S22 may be a few years old at this point, but it's still a great flagship phone, complete with the versatile Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a fantastic AMOLED display, and enough software support to keep it running smoothly for years to come.

The Prime Big Deal Days shopping event may be over, but you can still get a sweeet 30% discount when you buy the unlocked S22 from Amazon, but ONLY when you buy the 256GB model in Green. Fortunately, you don't have to be a Prime member to enjoy the savings.
