IFA 2012 kicks off this week, and we're live in Berlin to bring you everything as it happens!

In a couple of days we'll be live from Berlin, Germany, where IFA 2012 will be kicking in and around the Messe Berlin exhibition center. As we've already covered in our IFA 2012 preview, we're expecting big Android announcements from Samsung and Sony, in addition to a few surprises from some of the smaller manufacturers. Among the likely announcements are the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Sony Xperia TX (Hayabusa) and Sony Xperia Tablet.

As part of our IFA coverage, we'll be liveblogging all the major press conferences from the big Android manufacturers, which means you'll have the chance to learn about all their new products as they're announced, which is pretty awesome.

We've got three big press events this year. Here's the full schedule of major IFA press conferences we'll be covering live, along with time zones. (BST = UK time, CEST = German time, EDT = U.S. Eastern time, PDT = U.S. Pacific time)

  • Sony IFA 2012 Press Conference - Wednesday, Aug. 29 - 1500 BST, 1600 CEST, 1000 EDT, 0700 PDT
  • Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2012 in Berlin - Wednesday, Aug 29 - 1800 BST, 1900 CEST, 1300 EDT, 1000 PDT
  • Samsung International Press Conference - Thursday, Aug. 30 - 1000 BST, 1100 CEST, 0500 EDT, 0200 PDT

And remember, it's not just liveblogs -- we'll bring you full hands-on coverage of devices, behind-the-scenes insight from manufacturers, and a special IFA podcast later in the week. It's going to be a busy week in the Android world, so keep it locked to AC for all the live coverage you could wish for!

Can't wait :-)

Those times look weird,
Sony 1500 BST - Samsung 1800 BST = 3 hours

compared to

Sony 1600 CEST - Samsung 1700 CEST = 1 hour.

Does the UK use metric hours or am I missing something?

Fixed. Good catch :)

Dang, and I thought metric hours was a pretty good joke :P

'Twas a VERY good joke :)

I hope so!

Samsung better use the same strategy as the SIII and release the Note II on all major carriers at the same time. If they go exclusive then I will be livid. I feel we have moved past exclusive product line launches. I think the SIII proves that.
