Thunderbolt ROM on the Evo 4G

Things like the HTC Thunderbolt ROM booting up on the Sprint Evo 4G is the reason we all get excited over ROM leaks and dumps.  I know many of you get tired of reading how these things mean a lot to the developers even if they don't do much for the average end user, but good things come to those who wait.  XDA-Developers member and Evo 4G genius Caulkin has the Thunderbolt ROM up and running, though he says it still has a few issues that need worked out.

Speaking of leaked RUU's, a new one leaked today that may help get things moving along -- you can get that one yourself at the source link if you are able to chip in and lend a hand.

As of this writing there's no public download for the Evo port, but it's one to keep your eye on for sure.  We certainly will.  [XDA-Developers; 911HTC via Droid-Life]

Thunderbolt ROM booting on the Evo 4G, and a new leak can only make it better

What's the point of something like this. Your booting one Sense 2.2 rom on a phone instead of a different Sense 2.2 rom. Is there a different and updated feature set besides the new sense (which I thought was ported from the newer Desires anyway)

It's a bit lighter than the Desire ROMs (from what I've read). Also, since the Thunderbolt is CDMA, it should have the ability to update your PRL, your profile, etc. which is missing from the Desire ports (since they're GSM).

Yeah I've got the new sense running on my g2 thanks to virtuous and the collaboration or rmk and evil d. It was built off of the new sense running on the desire z. Which is the same thing running on the thunderbolt

That's what I was hoping for too man...but I went ahead and did it and its easy. I don't think there is going to be a one click, any time soon at least. If you head over to xda and to the development section of the g2, you'll figure out how to do it fast and easy.

I hear you. I'd rather get the new Sense for the EVO as well, with working 4G if you don't mind. The quick bootup would be awesome.

I'm liking Cyanogenmod 6.12 (the latest stable mod for EVO) and have only had it for a couple weeks, but am ready to try something different again. I really do like CM though.
