AT&T rolls out Android 4.4.4 update to Galaxy S5, brings VoLTE and bloatware

Galaxy S5 owners on AT&T, we've got some good news and some bad news for you. AT&T has pushed out an update for the device today, but, sadly, it's not Android 5.0 Lollipop. Instead, the update bumps the device up to 4.4.4 KitKat and adds VoLTE and, unfotunately, some bloatware.

Here's a rundown from the official changelog:

  • Android KitKat 4.4.4
  • Miscellaneous improvements, bug fixes, and security updates
  • HD Voice capability
  • AT&T Service additions:
  • Mail - ATT Mail (att.net mail)
  • AT&T Live
  • Uber
  • Remote Support

You should be able to pull the update now —though be warned, as it clocks in at a hefty 487MB. In an odd twist, Verizon actually beat AT&T to the punch with Lollipop on the S5, so here's to hoping AT&T customers won't have to wait too much longer for Google's latest.
