Xiaomi Mi TV 2 55-inch

Xiaomi launched a 40-inch full-HD variant of the original Mi TV 2 in China last week, and now the manufacturer is aiming to go large with a 55-inch 4K model.

The TV features a 55-inch Samsung RGB LCD panel and an MStar 6A928 SoC that offers a quad-core 1.4GHz Cortex A7 CPU and Mali-760 MP4 GPU along with 2GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB internal storage. The chip delivers H.265 decoding of 4K videos at 60fps, and as far as connectivity is concerned, the Mi TV 2 offers a dual-band Wi-Fi ac antenna, HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0. Also included with the TV is a wireless 8-speaker soundbar and an aluminum subwoofer.

The 55-inch variant of the Mi TV 2 will be available for 4,999 RMB, which comes out to roughly $805. No word yet as to when the Mi TV 2 will be launching in other markets, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear more.
