Motorola may have missed its target date for the Razr a couple of times, but that makes it no different than any other foldable on the market. However, now we're hearing the company will have it ready to be shown off by the end of 2019.
At a recent press event in China, Lenovo used stolen renders to show off its new Razr foldable phone.
Roaming issues to be addressed by small update Motorola has posted details about an update coming for the original Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR MAXX . While Motorola has already confirmed that these devices won't go past Android 4.1.2 it is obvious that this won't be KitKat, but it is still great to see. The update is set to fix some roaming issues that the device experienced in Canada as...
It's a Christmas Eve miracle! Seemingly out of nowhere, the original Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX are pulling down an OTA update to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Several different users in our forums are reporting that their handsets are (often slowly) downloading a very large update, and being greeted with Jelly Bean goodness when they reboot. We don't have any official support documentation...
Newer. Better. Faster. Longer. It's the updated Motorola RAZR line. When the original RAZR hit the market last summer, followed shortly after by the RAZR MAXX, a lot of people were eagerly awaiting a true flagship line from Motorola. And the devices were met with success, thanks to Verizon's aggressive marketing and the MAXX's considerable battery advantage. Shortly after its release,...
While Verizon in the U.S. is getting set to roll out their Droid RAZR HD, Motorola has made a few announcements surrounding other variations of the device. Rogers in Canada will have their version ready shortly and more recently, Motorola added Brazil to the locations of availability. The RAZR HD is being touted as the first 4G ready smartphone for the area: "Building on our legacy of...
After what seems like an eternity, Motorola RAZR and RAZR MAXX owners in Europe are finally receiving their Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OTA. Following a successful soak test, the build being pushed out is version 672.180.41. The download weighs a whopping 375.8MB, so you'll probably want to leave this one to Wifi rather than HSPA. As both RAZR and MAXX run the same firmware, the...
Motorola has been steadily rolling its Ice Cream Sandwich updates for the Motorola RAZR line across the globe. Next up for the update are the folks in China, as their OTA update has started today and should be available for download right now. If you happened to miss our hands on with the ICS update you'll definitely want to check that out while you wait for the download to complete....
Motorola really loves their RAZR line, thinking back years ago to the old flip phone, and then more recently to the remodeled device that was quickly outdone by the RAZR MAXX. Today Motorola has announced the Motorola RAZR V, which will be destined for Canada. Coming in at only 8.4mm the device is extremely thin, but being covered in DuPont Kevlar fiber it is also remarkably strong...
Verizon's finally pushing out the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX, bringing Moto's U.S. flagship. This moves the RAZRs up to what is for the next day or so, the latest version of the OS. Starting right at the top, you'll notice a re-vamped lock screen, allowing you to choose to unlock normally, or launch directly into one of three apps...
Motorola has updated the Droid RAZR page, and it's now full of information and details about the forthcoming Ice Cream Sandwich update. Nothing is ever official until it's official, but word is that we'll be seeing the ICS OTA for the RAZR family sometime next week, so this would be very timely if that were to happen. Moto is going deep with the info here, offering up short videos for...
Just over a week ago now, we saw Motorola's updated Ice Cream Sandwich update schedule. Of those devices, the RAZR was listed as receiving the update across the world beginning in Q2. Now we get a pretty detailed glimpse at what to expect, with a whole stack of promotional videos released by Moto on their Japanese site. First impressions are pretty good. Motorola have been criticized...
Motorola sends word that its current international flagship device, the RAZR, has launched in Costa Rica. As you'll recall from our review of the Verizon version back in November, the RAZR sports a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM and an 8MP camera in a super-thin 7.1mm chassis. The device launches with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but it's due an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich in the...
We don't want anyone to get too excited and set themselves up for a heartbreak just yet, but a leaked document from Best Buy pins the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX for April 4, and the HTC Rezound on April 6. Anyone with a HTC Thunderbolt can tell you more about dates provided through Best Buy, and Motorola still hasn't given any type of ballpark date for...
A new software update is available for the Motorola RAZR (that's the international GSM version of the Droid RAZR), according to Moto Europe's Facebook page. The new firmware is currently available in the UK, Italy, France and Spain. It's still based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread rather than ICS (although a leaked ICS build is available for the international model), RAZR users do have a...
